This small and simple module gives us a translation of logic level between two signals. In layman’s terms, if we take a signal with logical “unit” on 5V convert into a signal which logical “unit” has on 3.3V this module will help us. Something like this is useful in this case if we want to achieve communication between two devices from whom one works on 5V and the other on 3.3V, or any other combination of voltages. Directly connecting we would “burn” a device that works on 3.3V and a module gives us to avoid that.
This board is specialized for signal conversion for I2C communication protocol, and for this conversion it uses a special integrated circuit that enables communication at high speeds.

RAK7258 8-channel LoRa gateway with built-in Ethernet connectivity that connects to internet . It is designed t obe easy to use, so it takes only 15 minutes to connect to The Thing Network (TTN) via a graphical user interface. It also works with a private network server (ChirpStack), and it can function trough built-in LoRa server (up to 128 nodes). Its range is, with a quality antenna, up to 15km on a totaly open space without obstacles.
This version does not come with a 4G modem, so it can function with any location that has that signal, without the need for other WiFi or ethernet connection to internet.

LIN (Local Interconnect Network) is a series network protocol used for communication between components in vehicles. LIN-bus is a supplement to CAN-bus, and difference is that LIN offers lower performance and reliability but it also has drastically lower costs. Operative voltage of 12V.
This breakout has SLAVE protocol on it. Master/Slave is a model of asymetric communication where one device (Master) controls one or more devices or processes (Slave) that follows all commands from Master. One Master can control up to 16 devices.
