Water level sensor
Water level sensor

The water level sensor allows you to detect the height of water or some other liquid in the tank. This float sensor works on the principle of magnets and magnetic (reed) switches. Usually, it is mounted on the bottom or top of the tank, and when in water, the floating part with a magnet, triggers the magnetic switch. This alteration can be detected and trigger a certain action; eg filling the tank or launch alert.

Vibration sensor SW-18020P
Vibration sensor SW-18020P

Vibration sensor SW-18020 is actually a switch that reacts (connects) to vibration, ie. moves. Thus, when a force acts on the sensor, it is connected, and when the force does not work, it is not connected.

e-radionica.com has created a module with an LM393 voltage comparator using this sensor. Check it out here.

MQ2 gas sensor- flamable gases
MQ2 gas sensor- flamable gases

Gas sensor registers the presence of various gases, such as oil and gasoline vapors, butane, propane, methane, ethanol(alcohol), hydrogen, smoke. It registers gases the best while they are in the liquid form, but since we cannot find them in that state that often, it measures a good concentration of substances in a gaseous state. It takes a short time to heat up in order to work correctly.

MQ3 gas sensor- alcohol
MQ3 gas sensor- alcohol

An alcohol sensor is capable of detecting alcohol (ethanol) particles on itself and gives the information in digital form back to us to manipulate it.

MQ4 gas sensor- natural gas, methane
MQ4 gas sensor- natural gas, methane

MQ-4 methane gas sensor registers the presence and concentration of natural gas and methane (CH4). The best results are given when gas is in liquid form, however, since situations like this are rare, it does its job pretty well when in gas form, too. It needs a bit of time to warm up in order to work correctly.

MQ6 gas sensor - LPG, propane
MQ6 gas sensor - LPG, propane

Gas sensor MQ6 detects the presence of different gases such as LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas), propane, isobutane, LNG (Liquid Natural Gas). The best results are given when gas is in liquid form, however, since situations like this are rare, it does its job pretty well when in gas form, too. It needs a bit of time to warm up in order to work correctly.

MQ7 gas sensor - CO(carbon monoxide)
MQ7 gas sensor - CO(carbon monoxide)

Gas sensor MQ7 detects the presence of Carbon Monoxide (CO) in the air. The best results are given when alcohol is in liquid form, however, it still does an amazing job when measuring in gas form. It needs a bit of time to warm up in order to work correctly.

MQ8 gas sensor - hydrogen
MQ8 gas sensor - hydrogen

Gas sensor MQ8 detects the presence of hydrogen (H2) in the air. The best results are given when alcohol is in liquid form, however, it still does an amazing job when measuring in gas form. It needs a bit of time to warm up in order to work correctly.

Out of stock Hydrogen sensor MQ8 breakout with easyC
Hydrogen sensor MQ8 breakout with easyC

Hydrogen is all around us, and it is dangerous because it is highly flammable. Its leakage can be very dangerous for both life and property. That is why it is important to detect any leakage to prevent such losses in the industry. To do this, hydrogen sensors such as the MQ8 breakout board are used. The sensor detects hydrogen in the range of 100-1000 ppm.

The breakout board provides digital and analog information via the easyC system. Sensor readings are obtained via easyC.

Product usage tips:

When gas is detected, the LED will start glowing. It will remain off if it doesn’t detect anything. Four mounting holes enable easy mounting to surfaces. The board comes with three male headers.

Shunt resistor 50A
Shunt resistor 50A

The Shunt Resistor is a special type of resistor with small resistance which allows large currents to pass through it. This is useful for measuring the current in a circuit: due to the Ohm’s law and voltage drop on the shunt resistor, we can know exactly which current passes through it. For example, for this resistor whose maximum current is 50A, the voltage drop at that current will be exactly 75mV (0.075V). Using a precise ADC, we can accurately measure the current of our consumer or power source.

SCT-013-030 split-core ammeter, max. 30A
SCT-013-030 split-core ammeter, max. 30A

This small sensor will measure the current that passes through his wire transformer and the information you get in return is in the form of a small stream. That small current will be measured as a voltage drop that is already built into this sensor. The sensor works on the principle of an open transformer. It’s not as complicated as it sounds. For more details, check out the datasheet.

Ultrasonic sensor with easyC
Ultrasonic sensor with easyC

The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is an affordable and super-popular sensor that measures the distance between itself and an object located in front of the sensor. Very simple to use, it returns the distance in centimeters or inches.

In this variation, it comes on a board with an Attiny microcontroller that sends readings from the sensor as a digital signal via the easyC connector to the microcontroller, which makes its connections a piece of cake.
