HOW TO UNINSTALL FTDI DRIVERS?

INTRO
If you installed wrong FTDI drivers or you just want to start with different driver version, first thing you’ll need to do is to uninstall the existing ones. A process itself is really short and simple so we won’t prolong this intro. Do not worry if you are using some other chip for TTL bridge, there are the same steps for uninstalling any drivers.
*Reference: these steps are recorded in Win7 OS, a procedure is similar with the other versions of the Windows. If you get stuck at any point, feel free to contact us via e-mail. Instead, if you need to uninstall FTDI drivers on MAC OSX or Linux, you can find instructions at the end of this tutorial.
UNINSTALLATION
Follow next steps:
1. “Start” – (right click) on “Computer” after (left click) on “Manage”
2. That should open  “Computer management” window. We will choose “Device Manager” out of left menu, and expand “Ports (COM & LPT)” in the right menu. Then we will find COM port which presents our FTDI device. In a case which is shown in the picture below, it’s about “USB Serial Port (COM 4)”. Depending on a computer, the port can be named as COM3, COM4 and so on…
3. Now, when we have successfully found driver, we need to uninstall it. Righ clicking “USB Serial Port (COM4)” will open a menu in which we’ll choose “Unistall”. After, we’ll only confirm the uninstallation.
4. All that remains is to reset our PC, to make sure that Windows successfully updated changes we’ve made.
