HC-SR501 sensor detects any movement in its proximity. It is easily connected to Dasduino/Arduino through digital code. When it detects a motion, it adjusts output digital code on HIGH(3.3V, analog 675). The sensor can sense up to 120 degrees of angle and can reach up to 7 meters. It has two potentiometers: for detection sensitivity and delay (how often it checks if there are any movements).
There are two potentiometers on the board for regulating sensitivity and detection time delay. See how we used the HC-SR501 in our project at the link: https://vidilab.com/how-to/4117-osigurajte-dom-arduino-alarmom
