Dasduino Beginner Kit INTERNET OF THINGS - IoT

Croduino set for beginners Internet of Things (IoT CSP) is a complete set to start working with the Internet of things. Contains Dasduino CONNECT, microcontroller board with ESP8266 which can easily be programmed from the Arduino IDE. Connection to a PC is made directly using a USB cable. Besides the controller, the set has a bunch of different sensors and actuators, which are often used in projects related to the Internet.

For the purpose of automation in working with plants, there is an electronic valve for the water (or other liquid?). If you need a way to control some fluid using a microcontroller, here it is! It is actually the electronic solenoid which when activated, the fluid passes through his pipe, and if not – will not. Accepts pipe diameter of1/2 and at the inlet has a filter for all the unwanted particles.

 

It does not contain the pump or even some additional electronics, so make sure to have an external pump or use faucet water with pressure which is large enough. Systems that have a reservoir at a higher altitude than the valve, or to be exact, that apply the principle of hydrostatic pressure will not work because the pressure will not be large enough.

These magnetic door switch sensors are already seen, if not – then in old movies for sure where they were used as anti-theft devices, ie. alarm systems. In fact, it is a magnet and the reed switch inside a pair. When they are close to each other (recommended 13mm or less), reed switch closes. Optocoupler 4N35 is a device that electrically (by light, not by electricity) separates the two parts of the circuit. That means, if a short circuit occurs  on one part of the circuit or any kind of other error that causes malfunction of components, there won’t be any malfunctions to the second part of the circuit because there is no way (since they separated by light) to transfer the error.

To sum it up, this optocoupler is very common and generally, it can be used for all applications.
